How is BurBur design fabric made?

The patented BurBur design fabric is made by blind people, the magic pixies of BurBur. The development process itself is kept a secret. Because this design fabric is manufactured by people with visual disabilities, they tend to joke that they haven’t even seen how they make it, and wouldn’t be able to tell anyone :) Let us just hint at the fact that the technology is very time-consuming and takes a lot of patience, and a good dose of magic. For example one worker has to spend an average of 8 hours to make a Rhombus Bag. We’ve found that this development technology is particularly well-suited to our visually impaired employees, thus making a positive contribution by providing this social group with jobs that they often have much difficulty finding.

Can I wash BurBur design fabric?

Yes, this special BurBur fabric is washable: follow the care instructions for your product. If it’s a product made out of fabric, e.g. a Tote Bag, or a BurBur Dreaming Mask, a pillow, a pouf, it is machine-washable at a temperature of up to 40 degrees. If the product has leather parts, e.g. BurBur Leather Bags, it should be dry-cleaned.

Won’t BurBur design fabric lose its properties, its look and shape after cleaning?

If you follow all care instructions, BurBur fabric will not lose any of its properties or look, or shape for years.

Can I buy just the BurBur design fabric itself?

Unfortunately, we do not offer the fabric for separate purchase. Our patented design fabrics are aesthetically tightly linked to the BurBur products developed by our designers; also, you need experience and specialised knowledge in how to sew it, to properly use this fabric in making products, and only our trained garment workers have the right skills.

Does BurBur design fabric contain any filler or chemicals to keep its shape?

One unique property of BurBur design fabric is that it does not use any fillers, any supporting elements or chemicals to maintain its shape. It is made using special tactile technology with results in a fabric of different textures, shapes, and a magic look.

If I use a BurBur product every day, how long will this design fabric keep its properties, its look and shape?

With BurBur design products that have our special 3D fabric, you don’t have to worry about it losing its properties, look or shape in everyday use! Feel free to squish it, squeeze it, sit and lie down on it: the fabric will stay just as good. We’ve done a bunch of testing, like pressing the fabric down with a weight and then leaving it without motion for a year. A year after, the test fabric looks just as good as when it was new. Isn’t that brilliant?

Do you ship BurBur products worldwide?

Yes, we can ship our products to any country in the world. When placing an order it is important to specify the exact address and the recipient’s details, in order to avoid complications with the delivery. Keep in mind that any orders placed from outside Europe may be subject to customs duty, in addition to the specific tax policies of the country in question.

How long does it take to ship my order?

If the BurBur design product is available at our storage facility, then we typically dispatch it within three business days. If it is not, and we have to actually produce the product, then it may take up to 14 days before it is dispatched. For custom and wholesale orders, the delivery time is agreed on individually. Overall, the standard delivery time depends on the delivery locations, and it is typically up to: Europe: 8 days UK: 8 days Middle East: 3 days North America: 3 days South America: 8 days Asia: 8 days Africa: 8 days Australia: 8 days

Is there a way for me to track the delivery of my order?

Once you place your order, all status changes pertaining to the order and its delivery will be sent to the e-mail address you specified with the order. All in all, you may receive the following status messages: 1. You have placed an order. (Your will get detailed information about your order, including the name of the product, its colour, quantity, price, discounts, delivery address etc.). 2. Production procedure started. (If the product is not available at our storage facility). 3. Shipping procedure started. (You will get a unique delivery tracking number and instructions on how to track your delivery). 4. Your order has been delivered. (Information about the successful completion of the order). If having placed your order, you do not get any confirmations about it, or if you don’t receive any of the status messages within 3 business days after your order is confirmed as accepted, then please send us a message here, providing your contact details and the number of the order (if you have received one).

Can I change or cancel my order?

We can only change the orders, for which the production procedure has not been started (if the product is not available at our storage facility), or for which the shipping procedure has not been started (if the product is available at our storage facility). If the production or shipping procedure has begun, unfortunately we can no longer change the order. To change an order, please send a message here, providing your contact details, order number and the changes you want to make.

What countries do you accept payments from?

The Paysera payment system is available in a total of 174 countries. You can find a full list of the countries here.

What payment methods do you accept?

Our online shop uses the Paysera payment system, through which you can securely pay for your order using a debit or credit card; BankLink transactions are also available for some countries.

What currency do you accept payments in?

Because our business is in the European Union, all payments are accepted in euros (EUR), but you don’t have to worry about this if you use a different currency, because as you pay for the order, the payment system will convert your currency into euros.

How can I return a product?

If you’d like to return a product bought at our online shop within 14 days after receiving the product, you must fill in the return form included in the packaging for the product. Important condition: when returning the product, the same delivery service provider is used as the one that originally delivered the order.

What is the return period for BurBur products?

In accordance with European consumer protection law, you may return any product bought at our online shop within 14 days after receiving it. You should, of course, keep in mind that the product must be returned in a condition that does not show any signs of any reduction in the value and the quality of the product.

Who must cover the expenses of returning the product?

All expenses associated with the return of the product are covered by the buyer of the product.

What should I do if I have received a damaged product?

If you’ve found a defect in a product that did not arise from you using it, then within 6 months after receiving the product, you may submit a claim by filling in this form.

Who must cover the expenses of returning defective or damaged products?

If the defect of the product did not arise from using it, we will cover the expenses related to returning it.

How quickly will I get a reply to my claim for a product, in which I found a defect?

If you fill in and submit us the claim form, we will review it within 15 days, and inform you of the next steps to take.

How quickly will the money paid for a product returned within 14 days be reimbursed?

We will return the money within 15 days after we receive the product you returned. Keep in mind that the money will be returned to the same bank account, from which the product was originally paid for.
