BurBur as a registered trademark is a slow design brand from Northern Europe - Latvia. It's developed by social enterprise BlindArt which since 2007 aspires to create a tangible impact by providing work opportunities to sightless and visually impaired people. Modern designs with a high quality production and innovative approach to business model highlights BurBur as a charismatic and socially responsible brand.
Society appreciates visually enjoyable things but among us there are people who see everything in a different way. Our blind and visually impaired employees are integral part of creators behind our unique BurBur designs. They produce original 3D fabric by innovative handmade technology, thus affirming our conviction - if you can't see with your eyes, it doesn't mean you can't create with hands and soul! This is how we develop their talents, promote equality and provide fair trade principles.
Everything starts with a plain fabric, which is transformed with a special care and big effort into a spectacular 3D texture that simply has to be seen and touched. The magic lies in the 3D impression formed by the fabric without any filling or other aids, thus making it very lightweight. Various shapes are preserved without losing their effect even after washing them. These original textures induce associative stories about the existence of a variety of different surfaces while generating futuristic sensibilities with the “WOW'' effect.
BurBur collections main distribution is our online store but at the same time we are open to collaborate with B2B agents and retailers around the globe. Also we do individual projects, mainly for interiors like offices, public spaces, private houses, events, etc. If you are interested in collaborating on a B2B model or looking for an individual solution, please do contact us via here.
